My name is Donna. I'm a 33 year old mother of one from Llangefni. Having had a number of different jobs through the years ranging from waitressing, support worker for children with special needs, taking 999 calls for the ambulance service, stacking shelves and being a receptionist, I feel if I want to make something of myself then I need to stop making excuses!
I am currently studying a degree in combined studies at Bangor University. As part of the degree I'm doing a module called Social Media for Learning. I'm hoping this module will help me use social media to learn new skills and help me with future modules and possibly find something that'll make writing essays easier!
I won't be qualified in anything in particular at the end (which I often get asked "what's the point then?!") but hopefully by successfully completing this degree, I'll have better employment opportunities preferably in the IT industry, and I'll be a good role model to my son who also wants a career in the IT industry when he's older.
